That's a lot of 'dosh'...too much for this little black duck, lol. Glad I picked mine up 15 yrs ago for considerably less...I thought prices for WEJ books were coming down in this day & age? [compared to say 10 yrs ago, when they were at their peak?]
They've been working together for so long that each seems to know by a sort of telepathy when another is in trouble. One never seems to get them together. Get one & the others come after him. To give the devil his due they make a formidable team.

Cor blimey! winning bid was 200 quid.
Petroffsky beamed. 'Now you may be certain of seeing me soon,' he declared. 'Au revoir. Remember, my rifle is at your command.'
'And my chocolate is at yours,' returned Biggles, smiling. 'Goodbye for now.'

Getting people into a bidding war usually gets results on ebay. This one started at 99p. The 2 Norman Wright books that Andrew Skilleter put on at £99.00, and another 2 that were on at £75, all remained unsold. One of the £75 ones is now back on and says "make offer".

There are apparently some Biggles fans with deep pockets out there.

I wonder if they'd like to adopt me? ;)

I found it so-so, Frecks. But the only way to know for sure is to read it. Why this went for the price is anyone's guess.

I enjoyed it. It's Biggles & Bertie only.

Are insinuating that a biggles book could be less than good? Sacrilege!

Well, KK, you could always try putting yourself up for bid on eBay.

You mean... it's g-got... n-n-no Algy? :wtf: That is one book that I will most definitely not be reading. Fancy paying £200 for a Biggles book that doesn't even have any Algy!

COME ON NOW.
"Where the dickens did you spring from?" he inquired.
"Oh, I was just hanging around, you know, in case I was wanted," returned Algy lightly.

*snort*

You crack me up.

In all seriousness, there are about a dozen new Biggles listings on eBay today that weren't there yesterday. Someone's been busy.
