Final goodbye by Justin Tuijl

Long since passed, when my Dutch Grandad, in his garden, sat on the chairs he had made beside his brother Jo on a visit from Holland to the fen garden. A child, me, watched Dutch Uncle Con as he took the picture. I was happy then, but now I look into my Grandad's face and wonder at his sorrow. Two wives had died before him, and Jo was there to say a final goodbye as cancer was taking him away. Many years later I went over to see Con and he gave me the only copy of that treasured picture. Soon after Con's exwife died, and with his heart broken he followed that same day.
